How much does it cost to get a basic website?
This is the toughest question to answer as it all depends on what your site requires. As an indication however our quotes start from $550AUD.

What is a BLOG?
BLOG is a contraction of the words "web log". Blogs are simply a website about a person, business, development or anything else you can imagine. They are a running log of someones life, travels, plans and so on.

What is hosting?
Hosting refers to the computer (known as a server) service where your website is stored on the internet. Every website needs a host to exist.

Does Auspire organise hosting?
Yes. We prefer to use our own hosting service as we have complete control over the servers. See our web site hosting page for packages and pricing.

I already have a host. Will Auspire work with that hosting company?
Maybe. We prefer to use our own servers when creating or managing a web site however contact us and we may be able to use a third party service.

How much does hosting with Auspire cost?

Where are the servers that Auspire hosting uses?
The web servers used by Auspire are located in a state of the art data centre in Dallas, Texas.

Domain names

What is a domain name?
You may know this as a web site address ot web name. A domain name is simply the address you type into your browser to find a web site. Our domain name is www.auspire.com.

What considerations should I make when choosing a domain name?
There are a couple of things we recommend you consider:

  • Will the name risk breaching someone else's trademark.
  • Has the name already been used by a company or business in your country.
  • Is it pronouncable and memorable.
  • Is it relatively short.
  • Are the words closely related to your industry, business or site content.

Does Auspire have a domain name registration service?

Does owning a domain name mean nobody else can use the same name?
It depends. Since legislation in many countries has still not covered the internet's many grey areas, existing offline laws are substituted.

Usually you can use a similar domain name if your are not in a competing industry or company to an existing domain. You must avoid "typo squatting" or "domain squatting" which refers to using deliberately similar or variations of an existing domain in an attempt benfit from their brand awareness.

These are the graphical ads you see on many web sites which, when clicked on, redirects you to the advertisers web site.

What is pay-per-click advertising or marketing?
Also known as search engine marketing, these terms refer to the text ads you see next to your search results when using sites such as Google. Advertisers using this service pay when their ad is clicked.

What payment methods does Auspire accept?
Currently we accept payments via:

Payments are in Australian dollars.

When do payments need to be made?
Any payment that we don't expect prior to commencing work must be paid in full within 30 days of completion.
